Costa Scholar Naseem Ali Hamud is a rising junior at CSU Fresno through the Smittcamp Family Honors College. Currently a business major with a concentration in accountancy, Naseem stepped up to work as a congressional intern for Congressman Costa representing his own city of Fresno.
“I would’ve never dreamed to be on Capitol Hill if it weren’t for The Maddy Institute. Growing up working in a small convenience store, I was always in service to my community whether it was through school, the immigrant communities, and various other humanitarian causes. The Maddy Institute has allowed me to go to the heart of DC, to work on policy, and to bring these professional skills back to my city of Fresno”.
